Busy, busy, dreadfully busy...

We are busy. There are so many things we are fixing and such around the house that we joke that it will probably be a year before we sit at home in the evening and say, "What should we do tonight?" I actually enjoy being handy, but I don't like to do it with a time restraint. Yesterday we had someone else come and look at the house. So we had to take a break from rebuilding the front entrance to get the house back to showing quality. It got a little messy because when we're working hard outside, we just shower and eat without much cleaning up. Not to mention all the tools hanging around in places that aren't a shop. ie: buffet, washing machine, master bedroom...

Then, while we were cleaning the house, it started to SNOW! I don't know if the earth realizes this but it's the end of march. So, we couldn't put on the second coat of paint. So we got a forced break. We watched some of season two of our new favorite show "Corner Gas" It is so funny I actually laugh out loud. Most funny shows only make me smile. And I finished making our lawn chair. We wanted to have two but we can't find the materials to do so. Trying to find macrame cord is next to impossible. There is a place in the states that has some but shipping is almost $30 so to make two chairs would cost about $60. Oh, by the way. the reason we are making them is because the new sling type lawn chairs hurt Cory's back. But, you can't buy the old stlye ones anymore and the only ones we have found needed to be restrung. Then my mom found some Nylotex nylon yarn that worked great but there was only enough for one chair and when I went online to find some more I found out that it is no longer made and the stuff you can get on ebay has the same shipping price as the macrame cord. So it seems that the new craft I like is out of date. The worst part is that I know that there is probably a ton of both Nylotex and macrame cord in peoples basements right here in town. Maybe I should put an ad in the buy and sell. Anyways, here are some pictures of our efforts.

Look at me, I'm learnin' stuff!

So our house is officially for sale now. We've had a few calls and one walkthrough and another one this weekend. It's not that I mind having people come and look at our place butI hate having to make it look immaculate every time. And in order to be able to show it on short notice I need to keep it looking fairly tidy all the time. I never realized how much stuff I leave around on a regular basis. Oh well, maybe it will teach me to be tidier for ever!

The bible study we're doing is really great. It's called, "The discipline of Grace" i'm learniing just how much God loves me. Which I know sounds cliche but is hugely misunderstood in christians lives. I don't think that many people really know how much of a gift salvation really is. That we can't earn it and that we don't deserve it. Anyway, I could go on for a long time about it but I will post my favorite exerpt at the moment.

"When we are acutely conscious of our sin and think that God's wrath must somehow be hanging over us, we need to remember that God devised a way whereby His wrath against sin might be fully executed apart from our experiencing the force of that wrath."

I think that it is so cool that God himself devised a way for us to come to Him. I often thought about Christ being the mediator (which he is) and that he pleaded on our behalf. But never remembered that the father himself wants a relationship with us as well.

Me as a Meez

It's been a long time since i've posted because I just can't think of anything interesting to write about. We went to Sun Peaks with some friends last weekend and had a lot of relaxing type fun. Then came home and promptly got sick. Hannah and I are still getting over it. It's so sad to see a baby sick.

I found this neat animation site that lets you create a character. I tried to make mine look kinda like me. You can change anything on them at any time, so for those of you who check to see if i've posted anything new and never see anything then maybe i'll at least have changed my clothes or what i'm doing. :) www.meez.com

(Us playing a game called Hedbanz. Quite challenging despite the outrageous look of it)
